The other day I popped by one of my customers on my way home from work because she had forgotten a pair of earrings in my salon.
I bike down there and meet her in the parking lot near where she lives. After I’ve handed over her earrings, I ask her if I can bike home from there so that I don’t have to go back. My bike is quite heavy since I have both groceries and my dog in the basket. Yes, she says, pointing toward the biking path.
I’m used to biking through the bike tunnel, but I lose my balance when I’m riding through it and I stub my toe pretty hard on the damn iron rod. Holy moly does it hurt. I quickly noticed that it’s starting to throb wildly, but I’m too afraid to take my shoe off so I just run the next but I dare not take the shoe off, so I just keep going for the next 4.5 kms. I check if there’s blood all over it or not when I get home. It’s certainly throbbing enough to be!
Pain patch on the toe
I hobble around. There is no blood on my sock, but my toe is very swollen and really sore. I hurry up and put a brown IceWave pain patch on the toe. I put the white patch a little bit further up on the foot so that I’m able to walk normal again.
The following day, my toe is still sore when I wake up but the color of the toe nail is black and blue, of course, where the patch has been placed. The most important thing is that I can go on as normal and do my job in the salon. I’ll wait for a few days to wear heels, so sneakers it is for right now.
I’m so happy for my LifeWave patches!
