How to find the path to a life with less stress

Have you been wanting to create more fun and love in your life for a long time now? Do you want to be even more fantastic, more of the time? Do you feel like you’d like to live a life without all the “musts”, but still don’t? Then you are far from alone. I felt the same way for many years.

I have found several methods for achieving better quality of life. If you actively choose a lifestyle that supports good health – perhaps inspired by the things I emphasize in this post – then you are well on your way to a new life with less stress. But let me just first stop and ask the question: Why are we stressed?

Why are we stressed?

The answer is really quite simple: We are in stressful situations in which we are unprepared. We store and forget incidents that accumulate as a stressful behavior within us. The scary thing is that stress is the cause of death of many people every year.

When I help people find the cause of their lack of self-esteem, overweight or underweight, or whatever problem they might be having. I always start by uncovering what the actual reason behind the issue. It’s always associated with a stressful behavior. Once we know the cause and treat it properly, that person will be able to live without their unconscious obstacles.

In a previous blog post: ‘Sore back because of the difference in leg length?’I told you about how an Aeon patch can help get your leg length adjusted. However, I didn’t tell you that the one leg is shorter than the other. For me it started when I was 6 years old. I was the black sheep of the family and felt like I should be quiet whenever the whole family was gathered. It was a stressful pattern of behavior that resulted in unequal leg length. During my teenage years my mother had to sew up a par of trousers so that my legs looked the same length. When I was 17, I had to stop playing handball because of hip pain. I know it sounds strange that a stressful behavior could have anything to do with leg length, but the explanation is simple. The stressful behavior works like a circuit breaker in an electrical outlet. There are ‘off’ switches and the muscles will be forced on one side without energy, while the muscle of the other side expands accordingly so that the leg will still work.

I am well aware of the fact that it’s a bit of a mystery that such a problem could be solved in such a simple way. But I have been able to adjust several hundred people’s leg length over the years. Recently, I used the Y-Age Aeon patch from LifeWave instead of acupressure. Clients have left without the burden of the pain they’ve felt for years. One of my clients have gone through several months of investigation in the health system without being able to get rid of the pain. The problem disappeared within 15 minutes of treatment.

Stress starts within!

A couple of years ago I came across an American coach named Michael Neill in my search of something that could help my own personal development. He made me realize how my life experience is based on a misunderstanding.

Through my share of stressful experiences, I have always thought that I was influenced by my surroundings and the things that happened to me. I for example felt stressed about:

  • Being stuck in a traffic jam or just the amount of traffic in general
  • My lovely boys playing loudly. It was so stressful when they argued.
  • All the tasks at my work got my brain boiling
  • A colleague was behaving in a way that bothered me
  • Events around the world.

But it’s actually the other way around. My thoughts and feelings is what I see as being my reality. Everything starts within ourselves. When we care about something, we create a fantasy that can lead far away from what we really want for ourselves.

In the movie “Bridge of Spies”, a Russian spy is arrested in the US for being a spy during the Cold War. He expect to get the electric chair for his crimes. He sits with his lawyer (played by Tom Hanks) and is remarkably relaxed and calm. The lawyer asks him: “Don’t you ever worry about anything?”. The spy answers very factually: “Would it help?”

9 tips for a less stressful life

There are things you can do to achieve higher quality of life with less stress. I have here collected 9 important tips on how to improve your internal balance. I use all these tips myself and they’ve been really important to me:

  1. Do one thing at a time

Focus on one task at a time and finish it. Succeed in completing tasks – regardless of the size of the task. It’s an amazing, wonderful feeling.

  1. Enjoy every moment

Always keep your focus on what you are doing, whether it’s your job, a conversation with another person, the dishes or the cleaning. Focus your energy on the moment so that it’ll be a good experience.

  1. Focus on positive thoughts

Why focus on something that makes you sad, instead of what makes you happy? You may not select the thoughts that come into your head, but you choose what thoughts you want to focus on. So when a negative that enters your head, let it pass to make room for a positive thought instead. Your thoughts shape your of reality of what’s positive or negative.

Physicist David Bohn have said: THOUGHTS CREATE OUR WORLD AND THEN SAYS: IT WASN’T ME!

  1. Be curious

Learn something new every day. For example, learn a new language, and set a target for yourself. It might be that you’ll learn one new word a day, or it could be that you want to learn how to crochet. Find out if you should learn it via a book or online, and get started. Complement yourself on your learning progress.

  1. Create something every day

We are all basically creative people. Create something new every day. It could be a beautifully presented meal, a good atmosphere among the people in your surroundings or a hobby like drawing. Write down what you’ve created each day. Look at your notes once a week or month and see how much you’ve created. It’s a great feeling!

  1. Make sure to take breaks

Add breaks (incl. lunch breaks) during the day to cool down a bit. You could walk a bit a few times day.

  1. Help your concentration
When I notice that when my concentration is lacking, I bring my fingertips together or put my hand on my forehead. That lets me think more clearly. You often see people on live television, for example, or politicians who lock their hands when they get a tough question. Doing this will give you more blood to the place in the brain where your active thinking is happening. Try it – it works.
  2. Do good things for your body
  • Drink at least 2 liters of water a day (incl. coffee, tea and other beverages). Water helps cleanse toxins out of your body. We consist of almost 70 percent water. It must be renewed constantly.
  • Detox your body four times a year with the LifeWave method. The so-called detox protocol that in five days gets rid of the waste allows the body to function better again.
  • Eat a healthy and varied – preferably organic – diet. Assess whether your acid/base balance is in order.
  • Do various types of exercise for at least half an hour a day. For example, take the stairs instead of the elevator.
  • Get about seven hours of good night’s sleep. This will come naturally when you’re no longer stressed. The LifeWave sleep patch Silent Nights is also recommended.
  • Breathing exercises. Do them every day for a few minutes. Take deep breaths. It gives the body fresh energy.
  • Put on a fresh LifeWave Y-Age Aeon patch every day. It works great for me both in terms of anti-stress and anti-aging. Clinical studies have shown that 60 percent of those who participated in the trials showed significant stress relief within just 20 minutes.
  • The LifeWave core product Corsentials (3-in-1 package with Activator, Theta One and the Aeon patch) has given me great benefits, including staying slim and rarely getting sick.
  1. Do good things for your spirit
  • Be happy! Being mad rarely does anything good for anyone. You choose how you want to start your day. If you wake up feeling bad, tell yourself that you can’t use those thoughts or feelings for anything. So choose a thought that makes you feel good instead. You might say: “It’s easy for you to say that I should stop feeling bad, but it’s not.” Have you really tried changing the way that you think? Just making little improvements every day allows you to lead a better life.
  • At the same moment that a thought gets stuck in your head, you’ll start feeling things. If you think sad thoughts, you’ll feel sad. Think happy thoughts and you will be happy. Replace negative thoughts with good notions instead.
  • Relax. Concentrate on a hobby. Read a book that interests you. Just focus on the one thing you’re doing. You won’t feel any stress by being entirely aware of the present.
  • You should do the following if you get into a situation where you feel stressed: Drink water, sit down and take some deep breaths.

My personal program that works for me:

  • I do 12-13 minutes of different stretching exercises after having just woken up.
  • Approximately 10 minutes of headache/energy program (available on my website)
  • About 12-13 minutes of “5 Tibetans”, which is yoga-like exercises with the amazing subtitle: “The secret of the fountain of youth”
  • A fifteen minute walk
  • 3-4 gym visits a week, 1-2 times being yoga and the rest being strength training
  • Additional walks so that the daily number of steps exceeds 10,000.

Find your own program that works well for you. I have done the above-mentioned things for more than 20 years. Even though I have several decades in my backpack, I really feel in good shape and that my body works flawlessly.

  1. Super writing!

Very thought-provoking – and a great exercise to turn take control yourself instead of thinking of it as an outside thing that controls us.

    Nice, Kim. Thanks <3
